The best meal I had in Madrid! We were just walking around the area and found this place had a menu of the day so we went in and we’re so glad we did. Every single bite of every dish we had here was so heavenly, I could not move on from it after a few days. It makes me want to go to Galicia, Spain to taste more of their dishes there. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Found this place as I finished my tour at Parque de la Montana nearby. The wait staff doesn’t speak English but two very kind strangers helped me with my ordering. Please ask for the menu del dia, €11.00 for 2 courses. A true bang for your bucks. I was also the only foreigner there at the time so they were all helpful and watching my every move. Even though he doesn’t not speak a word in English, Antonio (the owner, a true legend) was very kind. The customers at the time seemed to be all regulars, which is a sure fine sign of how authentic and good this place is.
Not sure what I ordered but the rice with egg was the best thing I’ve had so far. The fish in photo was also very tender and sweet. I also had coffee for dessert and honestly I’ve never eaten so well in Europe. A must visit if you’d like seafood in Madrid.
A special thank to Antonio, Susanna and Rodrigo (2 kind people from Madrid).Incredible value, so much seafood (and wine) for your money. Service super friendly too. Fyi: here a parrillada is seafood too, not grilled meat.

An excellent example of knowing how to cook, a simple menu and enormous respect for the raw materials and ingredients used. This restaurant faithfully represents what it is to eat in Spain, excellent food, simple, exquisite and well cooked.
Las Zamburiñas a la plancha, priced at €20 for 12 pieces, are delicious and perfectly cooked.

What a little gem of a place! We were on a 4 day short break to Madrid and had dinner 3 times here! It was tucked away in a side road behind our hotel. Joseph, our waiter for 2 of them was super helpful despite the language barrier. He even used his phone to help with translation…Más opiniones

We had the seafood platter to share on the first visit and it was HUGE. Steak the next and tapas on our final visit. AND the wine was very reasonably priced. Win, win. Ended up by chance, had some great dishes and especially amazing house wine & dessert (postres caseros - you have to try them). The waiters were very nice. Do go for an authentic and tasty experience.

love the menu de día! highly recommend their lacón and sepia, tarta de santiago con chocolate is so good! the portion is nice for the price and they serve the food pretty fast too, my all time favorite spanish neighborhood restaurant
